To preserve the natural quality and colour of our mince, we freeze it immediately after preparation. Unlike many retailers, we do not use modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) or chemical preservatives to artificially maintain that bright red appearance.

As fresh mince is exposed to oxygen, myoglobin in the meat reacts and causes natural browning — a sign of freshness, not spoilage. Freezing our mince locks in both its flavour and vibrant colour, without compromise.

This means your mince will arrive frozen and should be stored accordingly upon delivery. It’s the honest way to deliver properly butchered meat — no tricks, just tradition.
