What does 85VL mean? VL stands for “visual lean” — 85VL means the mince is approximately 85% lean beef and 15% fat. That balance gives your burgers great flavour, tenderness and those irresistible crispy edges when smashed on a hot griddle or pan.

Simply season with salt and pepper, press into thin patties on a very hot surface, and cook until deeply browned and sizzling.
