What makes a KellyBronze turkey different?

Understand the KellyBronze turkey sold by Malpas Farm Shop, including frozen storage, serving estimates and cooking preparation.

If you are choosing a Christmas centrepiece, it helps to understand the product beyond the name on the label. Our KellyBronze listing describes a slow-grown, free-range turkey, chosen for its rich flavour and traditional rearing.

Whole bird or breast joint?

A whole turkey gives you breast and leg meat. That makes it a different proposition from a boneless crown, particularly if your family enjoys darker meat or you want to make stock from the carcass. Consider both preferences and the work involved in carving.

Check the exact product

The KellyBronze turkey in our range is supplied frozen. Check the current product page for available weights and ordering arrangements, then keep it frozen on arrival according to the label. Do not assume instructions for a fresh turkey apply unchanged to a frozen one.

Serving estimates are approximate. They depend on appetites, side dishes, bone weight and how many leftovers you intend to keep. Choose the size with your own household in mind rather than treating an upper serving number as a promise.

Prepare before Christmas week

Allow sufficient fridge space and thawing time. Read the enclosed cooking guide before the day itself; specialist suppliers may recommend a particular method for their birds. Use a clean meat thermometer and follow safe poultry cooking guidance rather than relying solely on skin colour.

Is it the right choice?

If a whole free-range turkey and both white and dark meat are important to your table, it is worth considering. If simplicity, compact oven space and easy slicing matter most, compare it with our boneless turkey crown before deciding.
